Highly successful Radio shows for both the BBC and Commercial radio including National TALK RADIO and CLASSIC GOLD RADIO, GLR, GWR and BBC Local Radio, and an even more successful TV career for both HTV and LIVE TV, presenting anything from live large audience debate shows to filmed documentary series to daytime magazine and lifestyle programmes have made Dave Barrett one of the most versatile TV and Radio Presenters in the UK and much in demand. For the past 18 years he has also run his own voice over and audio production company.

Dave has also been a Radio agony uncle for the best part of 10 years. He is a warm, witty, open and intelligent presenter who is also able to challenge without fear. He has a way of making his guests feel immediately at ease and able to talk openly and honestly about themselves and their situations with confidence.

Dave is also a talk show host with a great sense of timing and control, his great experience as a broadcaster has given him a special insight into what makes people tick! RADIO SHOWS

Dave Barrett is one of the country's most experienced talk and phone-in hosts, with a proven track record. Dave is also an accomplished music presenter. Dave's GWR Radio Show went from strength to strength, not just maintaining, but increasing its audience. People "talk" to Dave, and phone-ins range from deeply personal and sometimes traumatic experiences, to lively debates and arguments, and the occasional fun phone-ins. The show became an important part of many people's lives.

Subjects covered included News and current affairs and more off the wall subjects, including the paranormal and taboo topics that stimulate and challenge listeners to look at their own views and prejudices. In one show, Dave discussed the Hospice movement. This so moved one listener that she asked her wealthy parents to make a donation to the Prospect Hospice in Swindon who were building a new Hospice. The parents very generously made a donation of a quarter of a million pounds!

Dave also worked for the BBC's GLR in London for 14 months. He presented their first late night London and regional phone-in show. The show was broadcast throughout London and to 17 Local BBC stations reaching a potential audience of nearly 25 million people. He has since worked for BBC Radio in Bristol, a Sunday night talk Show for Classic Gold radio across the UK on all Classic Gold stations for 14 months. Dave has also been presenting personal problems phone-ins for many years.

Dave has also worked on the world's largest talk radio station, TALK RADIO, where he presented their Friday and Saturday night late shows from 10pm 'til 1am, covering a whole range of subjects from controversial debates to news, politics, religion, sex, the paranormal and much more besides Dave can currently be heard on BBC radio Bristol and BBC Somerset sound weekday mornings from 9am till 12 noon presenting there flagship phone in show.

TV SHOWS

Dave Presented all 5 seasons of Late and Live, ITV WESTS Live 90 minute Friday night debate show, for which he was the anchor man. This show was phenomenally successful, achieving some of the best Friday night audiences that HTV ever had. The show was broadcast live in front of a large studio audience on Friday evenings form 10.40pm to after midnight.

Late and Live has covered everything from news and current affairs to celebrity guests, leading politicians and debates on sex, drugs, religion and more off the wall and taboo subjects like body piercing, readers wives, S & M and more!

Dave said he "thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of a big live studio show with a large audience. We had some great guests and topics on the show and our audiences were fantastic!"

Dave also has a lot of experience presenting filmed documentary style shows. He presented a paranormal documentary series for the now defunct LIVE TV.

The Why Files had four successful series with over 400 x 30 minute episodes broadcast. In the previous series Dave also directed over 50 of the episodes. The Programme was one of Live's most popular shows and Live TV was the UK's number 1 cable network. This show took Dave right across the UK in search of stories about ghosts, haunted houses, UFO's, Alien abductions and much more besides. To date, over 800 stories have been covered. Dave has spent many a night in a haunted house and has seen a number of very weird sights, and that was just the crew!

Over the last four years presenting the show I have met some amazing people, most of them very ordinary but with extraordinary stories to tell. I honestly believe that what a great many of these people have seen is real, they have not just imagined it. There are some very strange things going on out there.
